Zelenskyy shares details of Ukraine’s first contacts with Trump’s team
The team of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is already in contact with US President Donald Trump’s team. Specifically, there have been talks with the US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, said Zelenskyy during a press conference with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi.
"We have ongoing contacts between our teams," Zelenskyy noted.
He mentioned that the Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Andriy Yermak had a conversation with Trump’s National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
“My team had contact with Kellogg (US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg - ed.) yesterday,” the Ukrainian President added.
Currently, the details of a US delegation’s visit to Ukraine are being coordinated.
“We have working dates when the American team will come. The dates and composition are being coordinated right now. We are waiting for the team and will work together,” Zelenskyy said.
Kellogg's visit to Ukraine
Keith Kellogg was supposed to visit Ukraine. At the end of December, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi said that the date of the visit had already been set and that active preparations were underway.
The information about Keith Kellogg's planned visit to Ukraine was also confirmed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
However, later, Reuters wrote that Kellogg had postponed his visit to Ukraine. According to the agency, the visit was supposed to take place after Donald Trump's inauguration.
