Today, May 10, air defense systems of the United Arab Emirates successfully destroyed two Iranian drones. No casualties or injuries have been reported in recent hours as a result of the incident, reports the UAE Ministry of Defense.

Attack details, air defense response

According to the ministry, the two drones were launched from Iranian territory. UAE air defense systems intercepted the targets, preventing any destruction.

The ministry stressed that the country remains prepared for any threats.

"The Ministry of Defence affirmed that it remains fully prepared and ready to deal with any threats and will firmly confront anything that aims to undermine the security of the country," authorities said.

Scale of attacks, casualties

Since the beginning of Iranian attacks on the UAE, the country's air defenses have reportedly achieved the following results: 2,265 drones shot down, 551 ballistic missiles intercepted, and 29 cruise missiles destroyed.

Despite the effective performance of the defense systems, the attacks have already caused casualties.

The total civilian death toll stands at 10 people, including citizens of Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Palestine, India, and Egypt. Authorities also reported the death of a Moroccan national serving in the UAE armed forces.

The number of injured has reached 230. Those wounded include people of dozens of nationalities, including Emiratis, Europeans, and citizens of CIS countries.

Iranian attacks on UAE

On Monday, May 4, Iran resumed attacks on the United Arab Emirates, launching four missiles and drones. Three missiles were intercepted over the country's territorial waters at the time, while one fell into the sea.

The following day, May 5, Tehran attacked the UAE for a second consecutive day using missiles and drones. The country's air defenses were transferred to active alert.

To strengthen airspace protection, Israel supplied the UAE with advanced air defense systems, including the Iron Beam laser system and the Spectro drone detection system.
