Iran continues missile and drone attacks on UAE for second day

On Tuesday, May 5, Iran attacked the United Arab Emirates for a second consecutive day with missiles and drones, according to the country’s Defense Ministry and Clash Report.
The UAE’s Defense Ministry said air defense systems are actively countering missile and drone threats.
It is noted that sounds heard across the country are the result of active efforts to intercept missiles and drones.
Clash Report reported that UAE air defenses are currently engaging ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones launched from Iran.
What preceded this
On Monday, May 4, Iran attacked the UAE with four missiles and drones. Three missiles were successfully intercepted over the UAE’s territorial waters, while another fell into the sea.
CNN reported that on the previous day, the UAE issued a warning about a potential missile threat for the first time in less than a month since the start of a ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
The alert was issued in Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman. Shortly afterward, an all-clear alert was issued.
