SpaceX owner Elon Musk lifts the speed limit on Starlink's military version in Ukraine, according to US President Donald Trump.
"I don't want to comment on that. Whether I called him, whether somebody else called, it does not make any difference. The bottom line is that he [Musk – ed.] put it back," Trump said.
Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump had called Musk and asked him to remove the restrictions. Immediately after the conversation, the system began operating at higher speeds.
Restrictions on Starlink's military version had been in place since the night of October 14. Terminals on Ukrainian drones maintained a connection only up to 160 km/h, making it harder for interceptor drones to shoot down jet-powered Shahed drones.

It later emerged that the front-line speed limit had likely been lifted, and Ukrainian drone operators were already testing the system.
Pressure was also mounting on the White House from Congress. Twenty-three members of Congress urged Trump to put pressure on Musk to give Ukraine full access to Starlink, including for strikes on targets in Russia.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously said, citing sources, that the White House had imposed the restrictions and described them as part of an effort to pressure Ukraine.
