Speed limits on Starlink terminals on Ukraine's front lines have likely been lifted, with Ukrainian drone operators already conducting tests, according to The Economist journalist Oliver Carroll.

He says drone commanders report the connection is behaving differently, and connectivity tests are still underway.

"They are still doing tests but 'this looks to be the case'," the journalist noted.

Neither SpaceX nor Ukrainian authorities have officially commented on the reported removal of the limits.

As previously reported, 23 US lawmakers wrote to President Donald Trump asking him to intervene with Elon Musk and restore Ukraine's full access to Starlink satellite systems for strikes against Russian missile launchers.

Earlier, the European Commission also urged SpaceX to fully restore high-speed Starlink service in Ukraine.

The EU emphasized that satellite communications are vital for both the front lines and the civilian sector.
