Iran has agreed to an indefinite suspension of its nuclear program and will not receive any frozen assets from the United States. A final agreement to end the war could be signed in the coming days, according to Bloomberg, Axios, and CBS News.

Details of the upcoming deal

Donald Trump said negotiations on a long-term peace plan with Tehran are in their final stage.

According to him, a meeting between delegations is expected to take place this weekend, and the agreement itself could be reached "in the next day or two."

The key condition of the deal is Iran’s complete abandonment of nuclear development.

Trump emphasized that the moratorium would have no time limit.

"No years, unlimited," the US President said, commenting on the duration of the suspension of Iran’s nuclear program.

He also denied reports about a possible unfreezing of $20 billion in Iranian assets in exchange for transferring stockpiles of enriched uranium.

He repeatedly said "no" when asked whether any funds would be returned to Tehran.

Removal of uranium and an end to support for terrorism

Trump said that Tehran has "agreed to everything," including the removal of its enriched uranium stockpiles to the United States.

According to him, the Iranian side is ready for full cooperation on this issue.

The President clarified that US ground troops will not be involved in the operation.

"Our people, together with the Iranians, are going to work together to go get it. And then we'll take it to the United States," he explained, adding that the uranium removal will be carried out peacefully as part of the agreement.

In addition, Trump said that Iran has agreed to stop supporting proxy terrorist groups, including Hezbollah and Hamas.

Situation in the Strait of Hormuz and Lebanon

Amid reports of a possible ceasefire, Iran announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to commercial vessels for the duration of a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.

This has already triggered a sharp drop in global oil prices, with Brent crude falling by more than 10%.

At the same time, Trump noted that the naval blockade of vessels heading to Iranian ports would remain in place until a final 100% broader deal is signed.

Regarding the situation in Lebanon, the US President called for an end to Israeli strikes.

US-Iran talks

The United States and Iran have agreed "in principle" on a new deal. Despite significant progress, unresolved issues remained and required further coordination.

Media outlets also reported that, amid declining approval ratings and rising energy prices, Donald Trump may be willing to make concessions to Iran. In particular, it was suggested he could adjust his approach or scale back some demands in order to end the war as quickly as possible and stabilize markets.
