Russian forces struck a gas station in the Shyroke community near Kryvyi Rih with a Shahed-type attack drone. Three people were killed in the strike, including a child, according to a statement by Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council.

Strike on gas station

On August 3, Russian forces struck a gas station in the Shyroke community near Kryvyi Rih using a jet-powered Shahed-type drone.

An emergency rescue operation was launched at the scene following the attack and was still ongoing at the time of publication.

According to preliminary reports, three people were killed in the strike: a 41-year-old man, a 40-year-old woman, and an 8-year-old boy.

Number of injured rises

Six people were injured in the Russian attack on the gas station in the Kryvyi Rih district, Dnipropetrovsk Regional Governor Oleksandr Hanzha said on Telegram.

All of the injured were hospitalized. A 49-year-old man remains in critical condition. Five others — men aged 53, 46, and 20, and women aged 51 and 60 — are in moderate condition.

All of the wounded were taken to medical facilities and are receiving the necessary treatment. Emergency services remain at the scene, assessing the full extent of the damage.

The attack comes a day after Kryvyi Rih observed a day of mourning for the victims of a Russian missile strike on the settlement of Radushne. A large family with multiple children was killed in that attack, including three children.

The missile exploded several kilometers from the city, and local authorities said the final death toll is still being determined pending the results of genetic examinations.
