Any peace plan for Ukraine must involve cooperation with the US. London holds daily consultations with Washington on the matter, informs The Guardian, citing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

In case of a ceasefire with Russia, the British prime minister emphasized that any plans concerning Ukraine must include cooperation with the United States.

Starmer responded when asked whether he was still seeking security guarantees from Washington.

"The position on the US hasn’t changed. I’ve been clear that it needs to be done in conjunction with the United States … We are talking to the US on a daily basis," Starmer said.

As a reminder, national security advisers from Germany, Britain, and France visited the US yesterday. They traveled to Washington for talks with US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.

Notably, it was recently revealed that Britain was involved in developing a US-led initiative for a 30-day ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.

RBC-Ukraine reported that on March 11, Ukrainian and American delegations discussed the US ceasefire initiative with Russia. Ultimately, Kyiv supported it.

According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, this step could start the process of ending the war.
