Ukraine agrees to US proposal for 30-day ceasefire with Russia

Ukraine is ready for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia. This initiative was proposed by the United States, according to a joint statement of Ukraine and the US following negotiations in Saudi Arabia.
"Ukraine expressed readiness to accept the US proposal to enact an immediate, interim 30-day ceasefire," the statement reads.
The statement also notes that this regime could be extended with the agreement of both parties if Russia accepts the proposal.
US officials have pledged to inform Russia that reciprocity on its part "is the key to achieving peace."
Ceasefire
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine could agree to a ceasefire if it is provided with security guarantees. Additional military assistance is also a condition for this.
For his part, US President Donald Trump believes that the issue of security guarantees should be considered after the war is over.
Ukraine's position on this issue has partially changed after Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump had a dispute at the White House.
In particular, the Ukrainian President proposed a truce with Russia in the sky and at sea. This means an end to missile and drone attacks on civilian infrastructure.
