Russians want to expand their war to more countries, Zelenskyy says

There is a high probability that Russia will eventually try to expand the war beyond Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warns.
"Many intelligence services have information that the Russians want to expand their war, their activities, to more countries. Perhaps to other regions," Zelenskyy said.
He did not specify which countries could become Moscow's new targets, but urged allies to jointly build up defenses and take preventive action.
"And that is why we are talking with our partners about stronger sanctions," the Ukrainian president noted.
He also revealed the Kremlin's plan for 2027 to produce jet-powered Shahed drones and loitering munitions.
The latest data show Russia plans to spend $12 billion on producing these types of weapons.
"Of course, this is not only about Ukraine, not only about us," Zelenskyy warned the allies.

He also added that, as of today, Ukrainian air defenses are successfully intercepting 55% of Russian jet-powered Shahed drones.
The head of state also said that Russia had launched more than 2,730 such drones at Ukraine in September alone.
In Zelenskyy's view, all of Vladimir Putin's actions indicate that he has no intention of ending the war.
Earlier, we reported that Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on US President Donald Trump to implement the major sanctions law against Russia.
Amid recent developments, the White House chief admitted what he had actually discussed with Zelenskyy and Putin recently.
