After a Russian night attack on Lutsk, rescuers pulled the body of a dead man from the rubble of a 9-story building. The number of wounded has risen to 27, according to Lutsk Mayor Ihor Polishchuk and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU).

“Unfortunately, as of this moment, we have one casualty from a Russian strike, a young man who was found by rescuers under the rubble of a multi-storey building,” says Polishchuk.

The rescuers confirm that they unblocked the body of the deceased while clearing the rubble.

"The number of victims of the nighttime Russian attack in the city has increased to 27 people. Emergency workers are dismantling the structures of the destroyed building. There are probably people under the rubble," the SESU added.

According to the service, a Point of Unbreakability has been deployed in the city, where residents can rest and charge their phones.

"Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross, psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and all the necessary services are working to help the victims. Rescuers from the Rivne region have arrived to help with the rescue operations. Equipment from utility companies and other institutions is being used," the rescuers said.

Russian massive strike on Ukraine

Last night, Russia launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine with over 400 drones and 45 missiles of various types.

Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed most of the targets, but there were some hits.

In particular, 3 rescuers working under fire in Kyiv were killed in the Russian attack.

In Ternopil, the Russians attacked industrial and infrastructure facilities, injuring 10 people, including rescuers.

Lutsk, Chernihiv, Kremenchuk, Kyiv and Lviv regions also came under Russian fire.
