Strikes on infrastructure

As reported by the city mayor, Serhii Nadal, there have been hits on industrial facilities and infrastructure objects in Ternopil.

As a result of the shelling, part of Ternopil is without electricity, and water pressure throughout the city is reduced.

Nadal also added that there is a distinctive humming sound in the city, heard around the Berezovytsia area. It is the sound of gas burning off from cylinders that were at the industrial facility hit by the enemy.

Smoke in the city

"After the explosions in Ternopil, smoke is observed. Air quality measurements are being conducted by the Ternopil Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention," Nadal reported.

He also urged residents to keep their windows closed and not to leave their homes unless absolutely necessary.

"Limit the time children and elderly people spend outside during the day," he added.

Levels of certain harmful substances have exceeded the maximum permissible concentration. Therefore, residents - especially children - are advised to avoid being outdoors.

Heaviest attack

Vyacheslav Nehoda, head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, called the night attack the heaviest in the region.

“There have been many hits. Firefighting and assessment of damage and other consequences have begun,” he added.

Today, the enemy launched a combined attack on Ukraine, first sending Shahed drones, followed by ballistic missiles, Kalibr cruise missiles, and other cruise missiles. Explosions were reported not only in Ternopil but also in Kyiv, Lutsk, Lviv region, Rivne, and Chernihiv. The cities suffered damage to apartment buildings, gas stations, schools, and government institutions.

Victims

The head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration reported five injured in Ternopil, who are receiving medical care.

He specified that the city is currently dealing with the aftermath of the enemy’s attack using Kalibr cruise missiles and Shahed drones.
