Russian forces attacked Lutsk with missiles and drones during the night of June 6. The city sustained damage to residential buildings and educational institutions, and there are casualties, reports Lutsk Mayor Ihor Polishchuk.

According to the mayor, Lutsk was attacked by 15 enemy drones and six missiles.

Ivan Rudnytskyi, head of the Volyn Regional Military Administration, stated that a multi-apartment residential building was hit and partially destroyed in Lutsk.

The mayor clarified that the roof of one of the apartment buildings was damaged, and windows were broken in other apartment buildings. Commercial properties and private vehicles were also damaged.

“We also have many broken windows in private houses, some educational institutions, and a damaged government building,” added Polishchuk.

As of 5:50 a.m. Kyiv time, five people are reported injured as a result of the attack on Lutsk.

Massive attack on Ukraine

On the night of June 6, Russia launched a massive strike on Ukraine. The occupiers deployed drones. The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported launches of ballistic and cruise missiles.

Kyiv was under heavy attack that night. Debris was recorded falling in several districts, and metro tracks on the left bank were damaged. Power outages were also reported on the left bank of the capital.

Additionally, damage to railway tracks in the Kyiv region has been reported, causing delays for several trains.

The enemy also attacked Ternopil, hitting industrial facilities and infrastructure objects in the city. Part of Ternopil is without electricity, and there are water supply issues. Smoke is observed in the city, and residents are urged to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary.
