Massive Russian Strike on Kyiv on July 2
Last night, Russia launched a new massive attack on Ukraine. The main target of the Russian strike was Kyiv.
The Russians used various types of air-, ground-, and sea-based missiles, as well as hundreds of attack drones. A total of 570 air attack weapons were recorded: 496 kamikaze drones and 74 missiles of various types.
As a result of the Russian attack, extensive destruction of civilian infrastructure was recorded in seven districts of Kyiv, with damage and destruction occurring at more than 30 locations across all districts of Kyiv. There were also significant direct hits on residential buildings.
Later, the State Emergency Service released photos of the aftermath, documenting the extinguishing of large-scale fires in high-rise residential buildings, the private sector, and warehouse facilities.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a fire broke out in a three-story non-residential building, an emergency medical services substation. Additionally, power was lost in parts of Kyiv following the Russian attack.
All the details of the nighttime attack, as well as information on the victims and those injured, can be found in the RBC-Ukraine report.
