Russian massive attack leaves Kyiv in flames, apartment buildings in ruins

As a result of a massive strike on Kyiv on the night of July 2, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in seven districts of the city were damaged, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The agency reveals footage from the sites where the aftermath of the Russian attack is being addressed. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, firefighters were seen extinguishing a fire on the shared roof of a 7-story residential building and a hotel.

Rescue workers are also on the scene at a 5-story residential building, where a fire broke out, covering an area of 300 square meters. In addition, the destruction of another five-story building and a fire in a 3-story non-residential building have been documented.
In the Darnytskyi district, partial destruction of 5- and 9-story residential buildings, damage to the upper floors of a 16-story building, and the destruction of private homes have been reported.

In the Pecherskyi district, damage to a 9-story residential building and a fire covering 200 square meters on the first and second floors were reported. According to the report, emergency responders rescued one person at this location.
In the Obolonskyi district, a fire broke out at a warehouse site. People there carried the victim to the nearest fire station on their own, where State Emergency Service of Ukraine personnel are providing him with first aid.

In addition, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine shows the aftermath of a fire on the mechanical floor of a 16-story building in the Holosiivskyi district.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, damage was reported to two private residential buildings, and in the Desnianskyi district, damage was reported to a 9-story residential building. The necessary emergency services are currently working at all locations.
On the night of July 2, Russian troops launched yet another massive combined strike on Kyiv. To hit its targets, Russia simultaneously used several types of weapons: attack drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles launched from various platforms.
The day before, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, citing Ukrainian intelligence reports, publicly warned of Russia’s preparations for a large-scale nighttime strike and urged citizens to strictly follow safety guidelines.
