The Russian strike on a densely populated district of Kharkiv has already injured over 30 people, including children, according to the city's mayor, Ihor Terekhov.

"Today, in broad daylight, Russia hit a densely populated neighborhood in Kharkiv with two guided aerial bombs weighing 250 kg each. At that moment, there were people outside. And it was only by a miracle that there were no killed," the mayor emphasizes.

He reports that 20 residential buildings were damaged as a result of the Russian strike: 17 high-rise buildings and three private households in the Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts.

The blast wave broke 612 windows, however, these data are preliminary, as the house-to-house inspection is still ongoing.

Russian strike also left a crater in the road surface. 7 cars burned down, and another 18 were damaged. The production workshop of a textile enterprise, the administrative building of one of the municipal enterprises, and its warehouse were destroyed.

Terekhov notes that there was an electrical substation nearby, but clarifies that its damage was not critical, and by the evening, the power sector plans to fully restore power supply to all consumers.

According to Terekhov's latest data, the number of people injured in the Russian strike on Kharkiv has increased to 37 people.

On the morning of July 24, Russian troops once again struck Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs. According to preliminary data, a hit was recorded near a residential area.

The guided aerial bomb hit occurred next to a multi-story building. About 15 cars are burning at the scene.

Since the first days of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian military has been carrying out combined strikes on Kharkiv almost every day.

Among the injured are children aged 10 and 17, and the youngest victim is only 28 days old.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, Russia may have used UMPB-5 cruise bombs for the first time during the strike on Kharkiv, which were launched from a Su-34 aircraft.

After the Russian strike, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy showed photos and videos of the consequences of the Russian strikes.
