Dozens of casualties, including children, have been reported in the Russian strike on Kharkiv. Ukraine needs help in strengthening its air defense and expanding weapons production, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy says.

According to Zelenskyy, Russians struck twice:

  • one time near a residential building
  • the other one at a civilian enterprise.

All services are involved on the ground: doctors, rescuers, and law enforcement. Rescuers are extinguishing the fire.

Ukraine needs support

"These are utterly senseless strikes with no military purpose whatsoever. And we see that this is Russia's only intention – to continue aggression and killings. That is precisely why we need support in defense – strong air defenses, expanded weapons production. All of this will help save lives," Zelenskyy added.
