Russian strike on high-rise in Ukraine's Ternopil: Death toll rises to 26

The number of victims following the Russian strike on a multi-story building in Ternopil has risen to 26. Emergency services continue to work at the impact sites, according to a statement from the National Police.
Currently, 26 people are reported dead, including three children. A total of 93 people have been injured, including 18 children.
"Emergency rescue operations are being carried out continuously at the sites damaged during the enemy’s morning attack. Work will not stop overnight: all units will continue to clear debris and provide assistance to the victims," the police reported.
In addition, law enforcement authorities urged residents to rely only on official information.
Strike on Ternopil
On the night of Wednesday, November 19, the Russian forces carried out a combined strike on Ternopil using missiles and kamikaze drones.
The attack hit residential buildings, causing casualties and injuries. One of the multi-story buildings partially collapsed, and a rescue operation is ongoing. The city authorities warned of possible temporary disruptions to public transport.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that during the night and morning of November 19, 48 missiles and 470 drones of various types were launched across Ukraine.
Later, the Air Force clarified the exact number of missiles and drones used in the massive attack.
According to Yurii Ihnat, Head of the Communications Department of the Air Forces Command, a Kh-101 missile struck a residential building in Ternopil.
