Search and rescue operations are continuing in Ternopil at the site of the Russian strike on the night of November 19. People may still be trapped under the rubble, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"As of the morning of November 20, the information on the killed and injured has not changed. A Russian strike claimed the lives of 26 people, including 3 children. 93 people were injured, including 18 children. 46 people were rescued," the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.

Rescuers worked through the night. Over 700 square meters of debris have been cleared, and 230 cubic meters of destroyed structures have been removed. The search for people whose whereabouts are still unknown continues.

The work is complicated by the high fragmentation of structures, large-scale destruction, and the need to work exclusively by hand in a number of areas.

"The search and rescue operation is ongoing. Forces and resources from 9 regions of Ukraine have been mobilized - a total of over 230 rescuers and 50 pieces of equipment," the State Emergency Service of Ukraine adds.

On the night of Wednesday, November 19, Russian troops carried out a combined attack on Ternopil with missiles and strike drones.

The enemy strike damaged residential buildings and caused casualties. In one of the high-rise buildings, the structure partially collapsed, and a search and rescue operation is underway.

According to Yuriy Ignat, head of the Air Force Command's communications department, preliminary data indicate that a Russian Kh-101 missile struck a residential building in Ternopil.

According to the latest data, 26 people were killed, including three children, and more than 90 were injured.

According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine will highlight Russia's strike on a high-rise building in Ternopil at today's UN Security Council meeting on November 20.
