On the night of December 24, 2 employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs were killed on Yeletskaya Street in Moscow. They had participated in the war against Ukraine and, in particular, tortured Ukrainian prisoners of war, according to sources in the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR).

At around 1 a.m., a resident, in protest against the Kremlin's aggressive policy, killed two representatives of the Russian security forces.

Approaching a police car parked near the police station, the man threw an explosive package into the car window, causing an explosion.

According to a source in military intelligence, 2 Russian police officers were killed instantly in the explosion, and two others were hospitalized with severe injuries.

Sources in HUR note that the Russian police officers who were killed had previously participated in hostilities against Ukraine as part of the Russian occupation army.

In addition, there is evidence of their involvement in the torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war, which the Russians systematically conduct in violation of the Geneva Conventions and the rules and customs of war.

Explosion in Moscow on December 24

On the night of December 24, an explosion occurred near a police station in Moscow, killing two law enforcement officers and one other person.

The incident occurred about 300 meters from the place where, two days earlier, Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov of the Russian Ministry of Defense was blown up in his own car.

According to one version of events, an unknown man ran up to the traffic police car before the explosion and threw a bag containing an explosive device inside.

Residents reported seeing a suspicious man wearing a mask and a hood nearby. Later, another homemade explosive device that did not detonate was found near the site of the explosion.

At the same time, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation stated that police officers noticed a suspicious person near their service vehicle. When they approached, an explosion occurred. As a result of the incident, two law enforcement officers and a civilian who was nearby were killed.
