Russian night attack on Kyiv: Number of casualties rises to 55

The number of victims of the Russian strike on the night of June 17 is growing in Kyiv. As of now, there are 55 wounded, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
According to Klitschko, over 40 people were taken to medical institutions in Kyiv.
There is no exact information on the number of people killed. Rescuers continue to work on the ground.
"In Solomianskyi district, in particular, they are dismantling the rubble in a residential building where an entire entranceway collapsed. Preliminary, according to rescuers and police, there are 14 killed," the mayor writes.
Headquarters were deployed in Solomianskyi and Darnytskyi districts to help the victims.
Russian strike on Kyiv on the night of June 17
That night, Russia launched a massive attack with drones and missiles against Kyiv. The consequences of the Russian strikes were recorded at 12 locations, but later the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, said 27 locations were affected. In particular, Russians hit a 9-story building in the Solomianskyi district with ballistic missiles.
Also, during the Russian attack, power was cut off in 2 districts of Kyiv. According to Klitschko, this was due to the activation of automatic equipment.
In particular, the mayor confirmed that a US citizen was killed during the Russian attack on Kyiv.
