On the night of June 17, Russia attacked Kyiv with drones and missiles. As a result, dozens of civilians were injured, Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko says at the site of the Russian attack on a high-rise building in the Solomianskyi district.

Injured and killed

According to the Interior Minister of Ukraine, there are 27 locations in Kyiv that Russia attacked. About 2,000 people are working there, primarily rescuers, police, utility workers, and doctors.

"At the moment, we can confirm 40 injured and one killed. But now we are getting information that there are many killed from one location - we have a residential building, we will have confirmation in 10 minutes," the Minister adds.

He also clarifies that the Russian troops, according to preliminary data, hit a 9-story building in the Solomianskyi district with ballistic missiles.

"Russian strike was so strong that the missile went through all 9 floors," the Minister adds.

According to him, search and rescue operations have already begun. Such work can last at least a day.

At 7:43 a.m., the Interior Minister of Ukraine clarified that 14 people were killed in Kyiv as a result of the Russian attack. Another 44 were injured.

Russian attack on Kyiv

On the night of June 17, explosions were heard in Kyiv for several hours. Russia attacked Kyiv with cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and drones.

The number of victims of the Russian attack was gradually increasing.

Recently, it was reported that a fire broke out in a 5-story building in the Solomianskyi district. There were 18 victims reported.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, says that, according to the latest data, 14 people were killed in Kyiv as a result of the Russian strike.
