The equipment of the thermal power plant was seriously damaged. Specialists are already working to eliminate the consequences.

Attacks on the energy sector
In recent weeks, Russian forces have once again focused their attacks on Ukraine's energy facilities.
In particular, yesterday, October 7, Russian forces struck an energy facility in Pryluky, Chernihiv region. More than 61,000 consumers in the city were left without power.
According to Ukrainian Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk, in just the past day alone, Russians have attacked Ukraine's energy facilities more than 26 times. Several regions are under daily threat.
She noted that, first and foremost, Ukraine needs additional air defense and electronic warfare systems to protect its critical infrastructure. It is also necessary to develop passive physical protection for energy facilities.
