Russian attack on Sumy region leaves homes and infrastructure damaged

Late in the evening of April 27, the Russian units once again attacked communities in the Sumy region with drones. Some of the drones were shot down, but some got through, causing damage to houses and infrastructure, according to a Telegram post by Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
According to him, in the Romny community, Russian strikes damaged transportation infrastructure facilities and nearby buildings.
"People took shelter in time. There were no injuries. A 55-year-old woman had an acute stress reaction. Medics provided the necessary assistance," the post said.
In addition, as a result of the Russian attack, damage was recorded in the residential sector, and some consumers were left without power due to the shelling. Hryhorov said that restoration work would begin as soon as the security situation allows.
The Sumy community was also hit, where residential damage was recorded, and critical infrastructure facilities were affected. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
Attacks on the Sumy region
Two weeks ago, the Russians attacked Konotop in the Sumy region with drones. Fires broke out in the city, a multi-story building was damaged, and cars were destroyed.
