Russian troops have been striking Ukraine's Naftogaz facilities for four days in a row. On March 29, the Russians are targeting assets in the Sumy region, according to Naftogaz Group.

The company reported that the attack caused damage and triggered a fire.

"Over the past day, production assets in the Sumy region came under attack. As a result of the attack, significant damage has been recorded. A fire broke out at the site," the company statement said.

Naftogaz added that thanks to the coordinated actions of Naftogaz employees and units of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service, the fire was promptly extinguished.

Fortunately, there were no casualties as a result of the attack.

Naftogaz facilities under attack

Earlier, on March 28, Russian forces repeatedly struck Naftogaz facilities in Ukraine's Poltava region. The attack resulted in losses.

On March 11, Russian troops attacked Ukraine's oil transportation infrastructure in the south for two consecutive days. The aim of those strikes was to disrupt supplies of non-Russian oil to Europe.

In addition, on January 27, a Naftogaz facility in the Lviv region was attacked. The strike caused a fire, resulting in the immediate halting of technological processes.
