Russia strikes Naftogaz site for third straight day, one worker killed

On Saturday, March 28, Russian forces once again attacked a Naftogaz gas production facility in the Poltava region. One worker was killed, according to the press service of Naftogaz.
"It has been a very difficult week. For the third consecutive day, our facilities in the Poltava region have been under attack. We have suffered a painful loss. Our colleague Roman Chmyrkhun has been killed. He worked as a process equipment operator," the company said.
Naftogaz noted that this is already the second person in the company’s team killed by Russian forces this week.
Strikes on Naftogaz facilities
Recall that on the night of March 27, Russian forces attacked a Naftogaz gas production facility in the Poltava region. As a result of the strike, it was forced to halt operations.
On March 11, Russian forces carried out strikes for two consecutive days on Ukraine’s oil transportation infrastructure in the south. The enemy aims to disrupt supplies of non-Russian oil to Europe.
It was also reported that on March 8, the enemy attacked Naftogaz gas production facilities in the Poltava region with drones.
On the night of February 20, the enemy also struck oil and gas infrastructure in the Poltava region with drones. One of the facilities was hit, causing a fire.
In addition, on the morning of January 27, Russian forces struck a Naftogaz critical infrastructure facility in the Lviv region. The attack caused a fire and led to the immediate shutdown of technological processes.
