In temporarily occupied Sevastopol near Cape Fiolent, a key radar of the division of Russia's 12th anti-aircraft missile regiment was hit, which is an element of the peninsula's air defense, Crimean Wind reports.
It is noted that in the morning, three explosions were heard in the area of Cape Fiolent. Drone flight was also heard. Russian air defense tried to shoot them down with Pantsir and small arms. Later, a fire broke out at the radar position. At the moment, the radar dome has completely burned down; only part of its frame remains.
This radar is part of the 31st Air Defense Division of anti-aircraft missile troops of Russian Aerospace Forces, which has S-400 air defense systems, Pantsir air defense missile and gun systems, detection radars, and target guidance radars in service.
Strikes on the Russian rear
Recently, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed with ATACMS and SCALP missiles a base for the storage, preparation, and launch of Shahed-type UAVs in the area of Donetsk airport.
In addition to the elimination of the kamikaze drone launch site, Ukrainian defenders hit a UAV control point in the Luhansk region and several enemy artillery positions in the Donetsk region.
Also, Ukrainian defenders on March 8 and during the night of March 9 carried out a series of successful strikes on facilities of Russian forces. As the General Staff noted, the Defense Forces of Ukraine attacked the radar of the S-300 air defense system and the Buk-M3 missile system.
In addition, as a result of strikes, the Pantsir-S1 air defense missile and gun system and the BK-16 landing boat were hit in the area of Novoozerne.
