Ukrainian forces used ATACMS and SCALP missiles to strike a Shahed drone launch site near Donetsk airport, according to the Telegram channel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"In the area of Donetsk airport, a storage, preparation and launch site for enemy Shahed-type strike drones was hit today with ATACMS and SCALP missiles. The strike was carried out by units of the Missile Forces and Artillery of the Ground Forces together with aviation of the Ukrainian Air Force," the General Staff said.

It is noted that a large-scale fire and secondary detonations were recorded as a result of the strike.

In addition, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out several other strikes against the enemy overnight on March 7. In particular, a drone control center of the occupiers was destroyed near Dibrova in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region, as well as a command and observation post near Kruhliakivka in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kharkiv region.

The Defense Forces also targeted enemy artillery positions in the areas of Tavilzhanka, Voskresenka, and Novopavlivka in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region.

Enemy concentration areas near Novohryhorivka, Zaliznychne, Torske, and Sopich were also struck.

Ukrainian strikes on critical Russian targets

It is worth recalling that in Novorossiysk, strikes by Ukraine’s Defense Forces on Russian occupiers on March 2 confirmed damage to two warships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

In addition, Ukrainian drones carried out a massive strike on the Russian Black Sea Fleet on the night of March 2. After the attack, sources in the special services confirmed that a joint operation by the SBU and the Defense Forces hit the sea minesweeper Valentin Pikul.

Besides the ships, Russian air defense systems and oil infrastructure in the port of Novorossiysk were also targeted. More details about the attack can be found in the RBC-Ukraine report.
