The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), together with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, struck Russian military ships, air defense systems, and oil infrastructure in the port of Novorossiysk, according to sources in the SBU.

Drones from the SBU's Alpha Special Operations Center, together with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces (State Border Guard Service, Defense Intelligence, Security Service, and Special Operations Forces), carried out an operation on military and oil facilities in Russia's port of Novorossiysk that are involved in the war against Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, the SBU drones struck:

  • Military ships;
  • 30N6E2 guidance radar of the S-300 PMU-2 Favorit complex;
  • Pantsir-S2 air defense system;
  • 6 of 7 oil loading stands at the Sheskharis oil terminal.

A large-scale fire has been burning in the port since last night.

The SBU emphasizes that this terminal is one of the largest oil loading complexes for the transshipment of oil and petroleum products in southern Russia. It supplies fuel to Russian groups fighting in Ukraine.

"The SBU continues its systematic work to weaken Russia's military, financial, and logistical capabilities. Each such special operation directly affects the Russian ability to conduct combat operations and receive oil dollar revenues to the budget. The spring season has begun," the source says.

Other attacks on Novorossiysk

In mid-November 2025, the SBU and the Defense Forces of Ukraine also struck the port of Novorossiysk, through which the Kremlin exports oil and gas.

The attack damaged oil tankers at the berths, pipeline infrastructure, and pumping stations. There was also a fire at the facility.

In addition, Ukraine also attacked Novorossiysk on the night of November 25. The oil terminal and a large landing ship were hit.
