Russian troops struck several areas of the Dnipropetrovsk region this morning, June 19. As a result of the Russian strike, houses and cars were damaged, and there were wounded, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak.

"Since the evening, Russia has continued to strike the Nikopol region with drones and artillery. They targeted Nikopol itself, as well as the communities of Myrivka and Marhanets. Preliminary reports indicate that 5 people were injured. A car was destroyed by fire. A private house and infrastructure were damaged," Lysak says.

According to him, the Russian army also attacked the Samarivskyi district with drones. A fire broke out.

"Among the 5 victims of the morning attacks on the Nikopol region is an 11-year-old boy. He is in the hospital, as are 3 other adults. One wounded man, aged 59, is in severe condition,” says the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

He also notes that the rest of those hospitalized are in moderate condition, and one victim will be treated on an outpatient basis.

Man killed in Russian strikes

Later, Lysak noted that the 59-year-old man who was injured in the morning attack on the Nikopol region had died.

"The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition. He had shrapnel wounds and severe burns. Unfortunately, they were unable to save him," said the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

Russian strikes on Nikopol

Since the first days of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has been regularly attacking Nikopol and surrounding settlements.

On June 17, the Russians struck Nikopol with a drone. As a result of the Russian attack, a 63-year-old man was killed and others were wounded.

In addition, on the night of June 2, the Russians launched a targeted strike on a rescue unit. After the arrival of the medics, Russia launched a second strike. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the strike on the rescue unit damaged windows, walls, and the entrance to the shelter where the specialists were located.

Also, in early May, Russian troops attacked the Nikopol district, resulting in one person being injured. Nikopol itself, as well as the communities of Pokrovsk, Chervonohryhorivka, Myrivka, and Marhanets, came under Russian fire at that time.
