Russian forces, despite the so-called three-day ceasefire previously announced by the Kremlin, have continued to terrorize the Nikopol district of the Dnipropetrovsk region with their shelling. One person was injured in the attacks, and a fire broke out, Serhii Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reports.

The official said the enemy used artillery and drones to strike Nikopol and the surrounding district.

Under fire were Nikopol, as well as the Pokrovsk, Chervonohryhorivska, Myrivska, and Marhanets communities.

"An 83-year-old man was injured. He will be treated on an outpatient basis. A garage and an outbuilding caught fire. Rescuers extinguished the blaze," Lysak said.

In addition, as a result of the Russian attacks, the following were damaged:

  • two private houses,
  • an outbuilding,
  • a moped,
  • power lines.

The Head of the Regional Administration also published photos showing the aftermath of the Russian strikes on the Nikopol district.

Other Russian attacks during Putin's ceasefire

The Russian dictator Vladimir Putin recently unilaterally declared a ceasefire with Ukraine, allegedly for three days - from May 8 to 10. Despite the Kremlin Head's statements, fighting continues on the front, and an increase in attacks has been recorded.

On the morning of May 8, the reports indicated that the Russians dropped nearly 100 guided aerial bombs on the Sumy region overnight.

As Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha previously emphasized, Putin's latest ceasefire has once again proven to be a farce.

Furthermore, yesterday, Russian troops launched a missile strike on the Poltava region.
