Putin's ceasefire

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently declared a unilateral ceasefire with Ukraine from May 8 to 10.

Despite the Kremlin's announcement, fighting has continued unabated on the front lines. Since the start of the day, Russian forces have already dropped nearly 100 guided aerial bombs on the Sumy region alone.

Against this backdrop, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stressed that Putin’s so-called ceasefire has proven to be a farce.
