On the night of September 24, Russia-backed militants attacked the Poltava region with drones. Explosions were heard in the Myrhorod district as air defense worked on the targets, according to Filip Pronin, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.

The fragments of the Russian drone damaged several private houses. There were no civilian casualties.

However, the debris also hit energy infrastructure facilities, leaving 20 settlements without a power supply. All relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences. The situation is under control.

Russian night attack on Ukraine

On the evening of September 23, an air alert was in Kyiv and several regions of Ukraine due to the threat of Russian missile attacks.

The alert was first sounded in the northern and eastern regions, and at around 10:47 p.m., it was announced in Kyiv and the central regions. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the detection of a high-speed target in the Chernihiv region, which was moving in the direction of Kyiv.

Later it became known that Ukrainian Air Defense Forces were operating in the Kyiv region, repelling Russian attacks.

At the same time, explosions were heard in Kharkiv: according to preliminary data, a missile strike was recorded in the Kyiv district of the city.

Also, late in the evening on September 23, Russian troops conducted an air strike in Zaporizhzhia. The attack killed a man and injured 6 people, including a 13-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy.

On the night of September 24, the Ukrainian Air Force's radio engineering troops recorded 85 Russian air targets. During the anti-aircraft battle, 66 Shahed attack drones were shot down, and another 13 were lost in several areas due to the active actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
