"As a result of Russian attacks, power grids in the neighboring Dnipropetrovsk region have been damaged. Because of this, 5,200 residents in the Zaporizhzhia region are without power," Fedorov says.

Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy sector
According to Ukrenergo, after Russia's massive night strikes on energy infrastructure, the most difficult situation is currently observed in the Chernihiv and Donetsk regions.
On the night of December 6, Russian forces carried out a massive combined strike on energy infrastructure in several regions of Ukraine.
Power generation, distribution, and transmission facilities in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Lviv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv regions came under Russian fire.
Russian forces also struck DTEK thermal power plants in various regions of Ukraine, causing significant damage to equipment. Due to the large-scale attacks on December 6, nuclear power plants were forced to reduce electricity production.
In addition, on the night of December 7, the Russians again struck energy facilities, this time targeting enterprises in the Kremenchuk district of Poltava region, using missiles and strike drones. Russian strikes caused interruptions in the heat and water supply.
