Russia strikes civilians in Ukraine's Sumy and Kharkiv regions: Casualties reported

On the night of April 29, Russians attacked the Shostka community in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. In the Sumy region, a 60-year-old woman died from carbon monoxide poisoning, and two other people were injured. In the Kharkiv region, residential buildings were damaged in several districts, according to the Sumy and Kharkiv Regional Military Administrations.
Russia attacked the community’s civilian infrastructure with drones and a missile, deliberately targeting the residential sector. The attack sparked massive fires in the buildings.
A 60-year-old resident of one of the buildings died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Two other people sought medical attention. The rest of the residents were evacuated in time.

Russian strikes on Kharkiv region
In the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, windows were shattered in apartment buildings. In the Nemyshlianskyi district, about ten private homes were damaged, and one person was injured. This was reported by Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
In the Osnovianskyi district, the windows of a hypermarket, one car, and two buses were damaged, notes Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Regional Military Administration.
On the night of April 28, Russian forces launched over a hundred drones at Ukraine. As of this morning, Ukrainian air defense forces had shot down or neutralized 95 Russian drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
As a result of the Russian morning strike on the Zaporizhzhia region, two men aged 40 and 45 were injured. Medical personnel assess their condition as moderate.
In Kryvyi Rih, Russia struck infrastructure facilities twice. A man was killed in the first strike, and another was wounded. Subsequently, the number of casualties rose to five.
