“On the night of April 28, the enemy attacked with 123 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and drones of other types from six directions, about 80 of them were Shaheds,” the Air Force said in a statement.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of the morning, air defense shot down or suppressed 95 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, and other types of drones in the north, south, and east of the country.
At the same time, hits by 19 enemy strike drones were recorded at 16 locations, as well as the fall of downed targets at 4 locations.
“The attack is ongoing, enemy UAVs are in the airspace. Follow safety rules,” the Air Force noted.
Russian strikes on Ukraine
Russian troops constantly attack Ukrainian territory with strike drones, most often targeting southern, northern, and eastern regions.
Yesterday, April 27, after a Russian strike on Chornomorsk in the Odesa region, a spill of sunflower oil occurred in the port’s water area, and a huge slick was spotted at sea.
Dnipro was subjected to a massive attack that lasted more than 20 hours. The Russians deliberately struck residential areas of the city with missiles and drones.
