Location of the site
According to the military, the base was located on the grounds of a former missile facility near the village of Ovrazhki, approximately 40 kilometers east of Simferopol.
From this position, missiles could be launched quickly, reaching both the front line and Ukrainian cities deep in the rear within minutes.
Launches were previously recorded
Representatives of the resistance movement had repeatedly reported missile launches from this site, confirming its active use by Russian forces.
The Special Operations Forces emphasized that striking and destroying such strategic facilities reduces the enemy’s combat capabilities. Units continue to employ asymmetric methods to weaken Russia’s military potential in its war against Ukraine.
Russian troops are using dense green vegetation as cover for concealed movement in the area of the Velykomykhailivka forest, attempting to push deeper into Ukrainian positions in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
In addition, Ukraine’s parliament has approved an extension of martial law and general mobilization for another 90 days, meaning the measures will remain in effect at least until August 2, 2026.
