Russia massively strikes Ukraine's Kyiv, Boryspil, and Odesa, leaving killed and injured

On the night of August 31, Russia attacked Kyiv and the Kyiv region, as well as the Odesa region. Missiles and drones struck residential buildings and infrastructure facilities, resulting in deaths and injuries.

Kyiv region
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reports that the death toll from the Russian strike on Boryspil has risen to 4. Another 13 people were injured—all of the victims are receiving the necessary medical care.
A 5-story residential building, a store and private homes, cars, a business and a car repair shop were damaged.
Rescue workers evacuated 48 people from the damaged building and pulled two people from the rubble.
Obukhiv district
In the village of Hryhorivka, debris damaged an infrastructure facility and two apartment buildings. In the village of Husachivka, 11 private homes, a garage, and a passenger car were damaged.
According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, a warehouse and a gas station were also damaged in the district. One person was injured.
Rescue workers continue to operate at the sites.

Odesa region
Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported that the region was also under a massive combined Russian attack overnight.
"Civilian infrastructure was damaged as a result of the Russian strikes. One person was injured," Kiper wrote.
According to him, two residential buildings were damaged, and a fire broke out on the premises of a sewing workshop.
At 9:25 a.m., Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on Russia's massive strike against Ukraine.
"Russia always plans its strikes specifically to cause as much destruction to people’s lives as possible, and it succeeds only when air defense capabilities are insufficient," he stated.
He also added that an Indian citizen had been killed in the Russian attack.
"A significant number of jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles were used in the attack. Unfortunately, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure have been damaged," Zelenskyy added.
The Russians also attacked the Orlivka international border crossing on the border with Romania. Firefighters extinguished the fires.
Overnight, the Russians launched a precision ballistic strike on a railway depot in Kyiv.
Seven people were killed, six of whom were employees of Ukrainian Railways; another colleague was hospitalized with injuries.
Russia also struck 5 districts of Kyiv.
According to the State Emergency Service, eight Kyiv residents were killed, and seven more were injured, including three children.
