Russia massively strikes Kyiv: Apartments destroyed, heat disruptions, and casualties reported

On the night of November 25, Kyiv and the surrounding region suffered a massive Russian attack. Waves of missile strikes and drones caused fires and destruction. There are killed and wounded.

Ukraine's energy sector under Russian attack again
Russia launched drones and waves of various types of missiles at the energy sector and residential high-rise buildings. There were casualties and injuries.
Initially, at around 1 a.m. Kyiv time, Russia struck Kyiv with cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and Kinzhal missiles, accompanied by waves of Shahed drones. After several series of strikes, Kyiv remained under Russian drone attack until 3 a.m.
In the morning, Russia launched another missile strike: at around 6:30 a.m., Iskander-K and Kinzhal missiles flew, followed by new groups of drones.
According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, Russia's combined attack was aimed at energy infrastructure facilities.
"Energy workers will begin assessing the damage and restoration work as soon as the security situation allows," the Ministry says.
Consequences of Russian strike on Kyiv
In the Pecherskyi district, a fire broke out on the 4th and 5th floors of a 22-story residential building, causing damage to the 4th through 7th floors.
The residents of the building were evacuated. Medical personnel assisted one woman with an acute stress reaction.
In the Dniprovskyi district, a severe fire broke out in a 9-story building as a result of a strike. Two people were killed, including an 86-year-old woman. Five people were injured.

After the second wave of Russian missile attacks, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that there was damage to a non-residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district. Preliminary reports indicate that there may be people under the rubble.

According to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, there are four killed and at least three wounded at this location.
"According to medical personnel, there are already nine victims in the capital. Among them is one child. Three adults have been hospitalized," Klitschko wrote.
Police, rescuers, and all emergency services are working at the sites of the Russian strikes.
Mobile police stations have been set up, where law enforcement officers are receiving reports from citizens.

During the night, power and water outages were reported in some areas of the capital during the Russian attack. By morning, energy companies had introduced emergency power cuts in Kyiv, so the scheduled power supply is not working.
There are also problems with heating. Currently, heat supply is limited for consumers in the Pecherskyi and Holosiivskyi districts and some buildings in the Shevchenkivskyi, Solomianskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Darnytskyi, and Dniprovskyi districts.
Also, due to the night attack on Kyiv, traffic in both directions has been blocked on Entuziastiv Street. Bus No. 48 is running on the following route: Rusanivska Embankment - Rusanivskyi Boulevard - Ihor Shamo Boulevard - Entuziastiv Street.
Updated. In Kyiv, there are already 14 wounded and 6 killed as a result of the Russian attack.
Eight victims were hospitalized by medics, including one child. Others were treated on site or on an outpatient basis.

The bodies of the victims were found at the scene. The fire has already been extinguished.
Consequences of Russian attack on Kyiv region
Russian troops also carried out a combined strike on the Kyiv region. In Bila Tserkva, six multi-storey buildings and private houses were damaged. A 14-year-old girl was injured. She is believed to have suffered back injuries and has been hospitalised.
There are also consequences in Brovary.
"Russia is attacking the Kyiv region again, with the main target being energy facilities. Unfortunately, a warehouse has been destroyed in the community," says Mayor Ihor Sapozhko.
In addition, a vehicle was damaged in Brovary. In the Vyshhorod district, two private houses and a car were damaged.

Patrol police response teams, investigative teams, Kyiv region police bomb disposal experts, and State Emergency Service of Ukraine employees are working at the scene.
Russia also struck the Cherkasy and Odesa regions overnight. Emergency power outages have been reported in Sumy and Poltava regions.
Russia carried out a massive strike on Ukraine on November 19 with over 470 drones and 48 missiles.
The most tragic consequences were in Ternopil, where Russia hit two high-rise buildings. As a result, nearly a hundred people were injured, and dozens were killed.
