Kyiv rocked by missiles and drones: All you need to know about attack

In the early hours of November 25, Kyiv came under a massive attack using cruise and ballistic missiles, kamikaze drones, and aviation.

Attack overview
The Kalibr missiles passed through the central regions, heading north. According to monitoring channels, several of them were successfully intercepted. The cruise missiles stopped being detected already near the Kyiv area.
Then the enemy carried out several volleys of ballistic missiles from the Bryansk region, and also launched Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from MiG-31K aircraft. There was no separate information about the consequences of the Kinzhal strikes.
Toward the end of the attack, strike drones approached the capital from several directions, including toward Obolon.
The city authorities confirmed the combined nature of the strike. Air defense systems were operating against the aerial threats.
Consequences of the massive attack
According to the State Emergency Service, seven people were injured as a result of the attack on Kyiv, 18 were rescued, and one person was killed.
Specifically, missile debris hit a 22-story residential building in Pechersk. Several floors were damaged, and one section caught fire from the 4th to the 5th floor. One person was rescued at this location, and work continues to clear the debris.
On the left bank in the Dniprovskyi district, a drone likely struck a nine-story building, whose upper floors were engulfed in a large fire. One person was killed, five were injured, and 17 were rescued, including three children.
At another location in Kyiv, a two-story building was hit, but no fire broke out. In the Darnytskyi district, debris fell in an open area of the private sector.
Infrastructure impact
In some areas of Kyiv, there have been disruptions to the electricity and water supply. Emergency services are responding promptly to all incidents, extinguishing fires, and assisting those affected.
The Ministry of Energy reported that on the night of November 25, Russian forces carried out a massive strike on Ukraine’s energy facilities, which will require urgent damage assessment and subsequent preparation for restoration work.

On the morning of November 25, a renewed air raid alert was announced in Kyiv: the enemy launched aeroballistic Kinzhal missiles.
As a result of the renewed attack on the capital, there is damage in a non-residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district.
According to preliminary information, people may be trapped under the debris, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko reported.
Medical personnel confirmed that there are already nine injured in the capital. Among them is one child. Three adults have been hospitalized.
In Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region, one person was killed in the shelling by Russian forces, and among the injured was a 14-year-old girl. The attacks affected peaceful settlements in the region.
