Russia increased number of Kalibr carriers in Black Sea
Russia continues to keep cruise missile carriers Kalibr in the Black Sea. Today, their numbers have increased, reports Ukrainian Navy.
As of 06:00 Kyiv time on November 19, there are 6 enemy ships in the Black Sea, all of which are carrying Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo capacity of up to 24 missiles.
At the same time, there are no enemy ships in the Sea of Azov. However, the military has recorded 3 Russian ships in the Mediterranean Sea. All of these vessels are also carrying Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to 24 missiles.
Additionally, over the past 24 hours, vessels in the interest of Russia, passed through the Kerch Strait:
- to the Black Sea - 16 vessels, 11 of which continued their journey towards the Bosporus Strait;
- to the Sea of Azov - 11 vessels, 4 of which were coming from the Bosporus Strait.
The Ukrainian Navy added that Russia continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling Automatic Identification Systems (AIS).
On the morning of November 17, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine. Power generation and transmission facilities were targeted.
The enemy launched approximately 120 missiles and 90 drones. By 12:00 on November 17, the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces had shot down 144 airborne targets, including 102 missiles and 42 drones.
On the same morning, the Ukrainian Navy reported that 4 Russian missile carriers with a total salvo of up to 24 Kalibr missiles were present in the Black Sea. The Ukrainian Air Force also reported missile launches from the Black Sea, likely originating from these ships.
