On the morning of May 24, Russia struck a UN humanitarian warehouse in Dnipro for the second time in six months, according to an official statement by the United Nations World Food Programme.

What happened

On the morning of May 24, Russian forces struck a warehouse of the United Nations World Food Programme in Dnipro with an Iskander ballistic missile.

The attack completely destroyed food supplies worth about $1.4 million. The warehouse stored humanitarian aid sufficient for around 130,000 people, mostly from frontline areas.

This warehouse was first damaged in a strike back in November 2025. The organization later restored operations and resumed stockpiling supplies.

The United Nations World Food Programme is one of the largest humanitarian organizations in the world. In Ukraine, it has been operating since the start of the full-scale invasion, providing food assistance to millions of people who lost their homes or live near combat zones.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Russia launched new missile and drone strikes on Ukraine. Pavlohrad, Dnipro, Derhachi in the Kharkiv region, and other cities came under attack.

During the May 24 attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region, Russia struck Bila Tserkva with an Oreshnik missile. The military later showed the crater left by the strike.
