Russian forces attacked the Zaporizhzhia district with guided aerial bombs on the evening of December 25, leaving civilians injured, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

Fedorov said the Russian forces carried out four separate strikes with guided aerial bombs on the Zaporizhzhia district, damaging private residential houses.

He said that those injured include an 80-year-old woman, a 60-year-old woman, a 57-year-old woman, and a 71-year-old man. All of them are receiving medical assistance.

Attacks on Christmas

Russian President Vladimir Putin rejected the idea proposed by Pope Leo XIV for a Christmas ceasefire. The Kremlin leader not only refused to halt the fighting on the front line but also continued to terrorize Ukraine's peaceful cities and villages.

In particular, earlier on December 25, a Russian drone struck a multi-story residential building in Chernihiv, hitting one of the apartments directly. An 80-year-old woman was killed, and 10 people, including three children, were injured.

Russian forces also struck the central market in Kherson on December 25. A 47-year-old man was killed, and two other civilians were wounded.

Attacks did not stop the day before, on December 24. During strikes on the Sumy region, a minor girl was injured.

In response to these attacks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is dealing with barbarians who do not even believe in God.

Meanwhile, a group of US senators released a joint statement calling Russian leader Vladimir Putin a ruthless murderer.
