Russian Federation is preparing a new large-scale strike on Ukraine, according to fresh intelligence. Ukrainians are being urged not to ignore air raid alerts, while international partners are being called on to speed up decisions on air defense support, according to a statement by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Why Russia prepares its new strike now
The Ukrainian leader says the planned strike is fully in line with the Kremlin's tactics.
"This is typical of Putin: right after America's Independence Day and before the NATO Summit in Ankara. Russia wants to bring more evil and kill people. Please stay safe and heed any air raid alerts," he stated.
Call to international partners
The president also called on Ukraine's allies to speed up the delivery of defensive weapons, stressing that every delay costs lives and only encourages Moscow to continue the war.

He stressed that the world has enough air defense systems of the necessary quality, but what is lacking is the political resolve of world leaders.
"Missiles for Patriots are needed not in warehouses right now, but in Patriot units in Ukraine. I thank everyone who is providing real help," the head of state said, adding that the decision primarily rests with the United States and the leading nations of Europe and the world.
Previous statements by Zelenskyy
Recently, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared details of his conversation with US President Donald Trump about prospects for ending the fighting. According to the Ukrainian leader, there is now a real opportunity to end the war, and preparations are underway for another meeting between the two leaders.
The president has also said that Russia has changed its tactics and is seeking to break Ukraine through ballistic missile strikes and aerial terror. Therefore, speaking at an OSCE session, Zelenskyy once again urged international partners to quickly provide additional missiles for Patriot air defense systems to help protect civilians from Russian attacks.
