The peace plan for Ukraine delivered to Moscow by Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev is currently under review. Further steps will depend on decisions by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said in comments to Russian media.

According to Peskov, the Kremlin is studying the materials Dmitriev submitted following talks in Miami.

"We are analyzing this material, and then, depending on what decisions are made by the head of state, we will continue our communication with the Americans," Peskov said.

Miami talks

From December 9 to 21, delegations from the United States, Ukraine, and Europe held talks in Miami, as well as separate negotiations between the United States and Russia.

During the meetings, the parties focused on four key documents: further work on a 20-point plan; coordination of a multilateral framework agreement on security guarantees; alignment of positions on a bilateral agreement on security guarantees from the US; and development of an economic recovery plan for Ukraine.

Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev, who took part in the talks with the United States, did not comment on the meeting.

However, he hinted that the next round of negotiations is likely to take place in Moscow.

Ukraine's peace plan

In recent days, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented a draft peace agreement during a briefing with journalists. The document has been developed over recent weeks by representatives of the United States, Ukraine, and European partners.

The draft says Russia must withdraw its troops from the Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions for the agreement to take effect, while no agreement has yet been reached on the Donetsk region.

Ukraine plans to hold elections as soon as possible after the agreement is signed. No compromise has yet been reached on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

The full list of provisions in the peace plan is available in the material by RBC-Ukraine.
