Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia today, December 19. As a result of Russian strikes, there are wounded, including a child, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"Russia carried out another air strike on Zaporizhzhia. A two-story private residential building was partially destroyed and set on fire. The blast wave damaged neighboring buildings," the State Emergency Service of Ukraine says.

Psychologists from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine assisted 5 people, including a child. All emergency services are working at the scene.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, says that women aged 36, 72, and 78, as well as a 68-year-old man, were injured in the Russian strike.

Fedorov updates that the number of victims has risen to 7. Four victims were treated at the scene. They will continue treatment at home.

Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia and region

On December 17, Russians launched air strikes on Zaporizhzhia, causing significant damage to a high-rise building and one of the regional center's infrastructure facilities.

According to the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Russia launched three strikes on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district. Two residential buildings were damaged in the regional center. People may be trapped under the rubble.

Also, on the morning of December 16, Russians attacked a high-rise building in Zaporizhzhia with a drone. As a result of the Russian strike, several apartments caught fire, and people were injured.

On December 14, Russian troops launched several airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, damaging an ATB store and causing injuries, as well as setting cars on fire in another area.

Previously, Russia struck Zaporizhzhia and the region on December 7. Russian guided aerial bombs damaged private houses, farm buildings, and power lines.
