Early Tuesday morning, December 16, Russians struck a high-rise building in Zaporizhzhia with a drone. Several apartments burned as a result of the attack, and people were injured, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

At around 5 a.m. Kyiv time, at least two Russian drones were flying in the direction of Zaporizhzhia.

About half an hour later, Fedorov wrote that the Russians had hit a 9-story building with a drone. This caused a fire, and only two victims were known at the time. Later, the number of injured rose to three.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has confirmed the Russian attack and reported that 4 apartments were on fire, but the fire has already been extinguished.

"Emergency responders rescued five residents from the upper floors of the building, two of them with the help of a ladder truck. The people did not require medical assistance. Four apartments on the 5th and 6th floors, covering an area of 120 square meters, caught fire at the scene. The fire has been extinguished. Rescuers are pouring water on the destroyed structures and dismantling them. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine assisted 10 people," the post says.
