Rescuing under explosions: Police release first footage after Russia’s strike on Zaporizhzhia

"Today, the city once again came under enemy attack. There was a fire at the strike site, and explosions were heard, so despite the danger, patrol officers immediately began evacuating people from the danger zone," the statement reads.
Police officers immediately provided first aid to the injured: they applied tourniquets, packed wounds, and bandaged injuries. After that, the wounded were handed over to medical personnel.
Law enforcement officers urged all Ukrainians not to ignore air-raid alerts and to immediately proceed to safe places.
What preceded the incident
Earlier today, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the enemy attack, one person was killed and three others were injured.
The enemy hit an industrial infrastructure facility. A fire broke out due to damage to a fuel and lubricant storage tank.
Attack on Ukraine on May 15
On May 15, Russian forces attacked a suburban passenger train in the Zaporizhzhia region using a kamikaze drone. The enemy UAV struck near one of the carriages, injuring two passengers.
In addition, overnight, the enemy carried out a combined missile and drone attack on the Odesa region. The strike left people injured and caused damage in a residential area.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that overnight, Russia launched six missiles and 141 attack drones from various directions. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted most of the targets, although impacts were recorded in several regions.
