Russia launches 141 drones at Ukraine overnight, explosions reported

During the night of May 15, Russia attacked Ukraine with 6 missiles and 141 attack drones from different directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down most enemy targets, however some hits were recorded, Ukrainian Air Force reports.
Russians attacked with five Kh-31P anti-radar missiles from airspace over Black Sea waters, one Kh-35 anti-ship missile from temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as 141 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas attack drones and Parodiya-type imitation drones from directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk — Russia, temporarily occupied Donetsk, Chauda, Hvardiiske — temporarily occupied Crimea.
Air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems units, mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defense shot down/suppressed 1 Kh-35 anti-ship missile and 130 enemy Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas drones, and Parodiya imitation drones in the south, north, and east of the country.
Five Kh-31P anti-radar missiles did not reach their targets. Hits of 7 attack drones were recorded at 6 locations, as well as falling debris of downed targets at 7 locations.
"Attack continues, several enemy drones remain in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" Air Force warned.
Attacks on Ukraine on May 15
On the morning of May 15, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv due to the threat of enemy drones. A group of drones was moving from north of the Kyiv region toward the capital. Explosions were heard; air defense was operating.
During the night, the Russian army carried out a combined missile and drone attack on the Odesa region. As a result of the attack, people were injured, and the residential sector was damaged.
Russian forces also struck a commuter train in the Zaporizhzhia region with a drone. Two passengers were injured.
