An explosion occurred at the Mesko weapons manufacturing plant in Poland. According to Onet, there is one fatality and one injured.

Currently, police officers are working at the scene under the supervision of a prosecutor.

The information about the explosion was also confirmed by the plant's general director, Elżbieta Szeniawska. According to her, the explosion occurred at the rocket fuel warehouse. The facility was put into operation several years ago.

As a result of the incident, a 59-year-old plant worker was killed. Another person was hospitalized.

As of now, it is known that the fire has been extinguished.

"Around 11 a.m. (10 a.m. Kyiv time, ed.), we received a report of a fire at the Mesko plant in Skarżysko-Kamienna. Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene determined that the fire had engulfed a warehouse where fuel was stored," said district police spokesperson Jarosław Gwóźdź, as reported by Onet.

It is noted that the situation is under control.

Additionally, in April, an explosion occurred at a BAE Systems plant in the UK, where artillery shells are filled with explosives.
